GED Ohio: Career Development for Non-High School Graduates
Education has proven to be a very important tool for a person’s future career. GED is offered in Ohio; and is an excellent opportunity for those people who failed to finish high school as this will give them an equivalent diploma in a high school level. It will open new grounds like an opportunity to apply for advancement in their careers, get a higher level of education.
There is a requirement when taking up the GED of Ohio, the applicant should at least be 19 years old, but there is an exception on the age requirement, an applicant on the age range of 16 up to 18 that has been on the exceptional list, on the administrative code of Ohio, they can qualify for a GED, this is for a very exceptional case. If you are 18 years, you can take the GED in Ohio even if you are 18 years old only if your school district’s superintendent or the designee where you are living completed or signed your GED age form waiver. Attach that to the application paper or on confirmation pages presented online.
If you class has already graduated and you are still 17 or 18 years of age, the transcript of records in your school must be attached in the application form to prove the graduation of the class your in. In case that you are in the service of the military to armed forces, you’ll need to have the sworn statement in the application form that gives date of the ceremony for swearing in. The candidates that are delayed on entries will not be able to qualify.
The same requirements are needed for those 16 years of age. You must also have your parents or guardian sign a GED parental consent form. The applicant needs this form attached to the application form or in the internet form application.
The GED Ohio test has a fee of $55, there’s also the free test but you will need to earn the fee waiver. For you to be included in the free GED exam, you’ll be contacting the fee waiver agency listed online and get a schedule in their practice GED exam.
The Required Scores to Achieve the GED in Ohio:
1. There is a need for the GED applicant to have a score of at least 2250 points.
2. The minimum total score per sub tests would be 410 in those 5 subjects. This would be the lowest score allowed on each sub tests, but be reminded if you got 410 per sub test, you will not meet 2250 points.
There is a five sub test topics that are to be tested on GED: The language arts and writing, math, social studies, reading and language arts, and the sciences. These are all based in a curriculum of the 12th graders.
